Title: Increasing Digital TV accessibility through Multiple Platforms
Abstract:
Access to information from any device, anywhere and by anyone are requirements of universal accessibility. The transmission and reception of digital television on multiple platforms - TV, Web, Mobile, designed for the general population, are at the same time creating new access opportunities and challenges for people with special needs.
This communication demonstrates how the flexibility provided by multiple TV platforms are increasing the accessibility of this medium of communication for people with disabilities, both with regard to content access as news ways of human-TV interaction.
