Dr. Paulo Leitão is Professor Coordenador at the Instituto Politécnico de Bragança, being currently the Head of the Department of Electrical Engineering, and member of the Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science Laboratory (LIACC). He is/was principal investigator for 7 research projects in the area of intelligent manufacturing systems, supervised 1 PhD thesis and is currently supervising 3 PhD theses. He published more than 130 publications in international journals and conferences, co-authored 3 patents, and won 4 scientific awards. He served as general co-chair in 2 international conferences, and currently is the Chair of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society Technical Committee on Industrial Agents.
