Smart Grids and Distributed Energy Resources

Scope:
The application of Power Electronics, Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) and other recent technologies to power systems has led to the Smart Grid paradigm.
This relevant function of Power Electronics justifies the inclusion of this Special Session in the CPE Conference.
 
Contributions to the session address but are not limited to:
  • Electric vehicles
  • Distributed generation
  • Microgrids
  • Ancillary services
  • Distribution systems including storage and demand management
  • Other aspects related to Smart Grids: metering, new materials, communications, forecasting, etc.
