II Encuentro Ibérico de Grupos de Investigación en Superconductividad, EIGIS 2014

which will be held in

Caparica - Portugal, 7 - 8 April 2014.

The goal of EIGIS first edition was to promote and disseminate the work of superconductivity research groups either in Portugal and Spain, and to establish common goals and strategies in order to increase collaborations and knowledge creation. One of the ideas that emerged from that meeting was the creation of an Iberian Initiative for the Promotion of Superconductivity, which will be one of the main topics of this year’s edition.

In EIGIS 2014 there are two main goals:

  1. To analyse and discuss funding opportunities of the new Research and Innovation programme Horizon 2020.

  2. To establish the Consortium Agreement of the Iberian Initiative for the Promotion of Superconductivity, define its roadmap, activities and responsibilities. The draft Consortium Agreement will be sent previously to all groups interested in participating in this initiative.

EIGIS 2014 will run in parallel with the 5th Doctoral Conference on Computing, Electrical and Industrial Systems (DoCEIS 2014) and COST Action MP1004 (Hybrid Energy Storage Devices and Systems for Mobile and Stationary Applications) meeting.
