The research group on Intelligent Control and Decision Support Systems is integrated in the Centre of Technology and Systems (CTS) of UNINOVA - Institute for the development of new technologies.

The goal of the group is to provide research and development on the following topics: 
  - Modeling and simulation of industrial dynamic plants
  - Control of complex systems
  - Decision support systems

The i-control group was created in 2001 more focused in the development of control systems. Today, i-control extended its research interests to the upper levels in intelligent decision support systems. Additionally, the group has specialized in the coordination of research projects in the scope of the framework programmes of the European Commission.
